Civil and Human Rights Seminars

Raising Leaders. Restoring Justice. Reclaiming Peace.

In a world shaped by global injustice, it is our duty to equip young people with the tools necessary to lead and lead well. Our Civil and Human Rights Seminar Series equips students with the knowledge necessary to understand not only their civil rights, but their civic responsibilities—the freedoms we enjoy, the injustices that persist, and the role each of us must play in shaping a more just society—helping them grow into informed, ethical leaders who are anchored in truth, equipped with courage, and ready to stand for justice in their communities and across the nations.

We offer two foundational series:

Human Rights & Global Citizenship Seminar:

From the Magna Carta to the United Nations: A Story of Freedom

Our international human rights seminar traces the journey of justice across centuries—from the sealing of the Magna Carta in 1215, to the bold declarations of liberty in the Declaration of Independence, to the establishment of modern international human rights law after the atrocities of World War II.

This seminar places special emphasis on the United States' leadership role in shaping the global human rights framework, including its influence on the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the formation of key treaties like the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).

Participants will:

Trace the historical development of human rights

Learn about key instruments like the UDHR, CRC, and CEDAW

Understand how global violations affect local communities

Discover actionable steps to become informed, effective human rights advocates

The Cadet Code:

Civics, Rights & Responsibility JROTC Series

This seminar focuses on Title VII and Title X of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and is  designed to shape young leaders who understand the application of this act within the military, respect human dignity, and use their voice to bring about positive change.

Participants will:

Explore the history and impact of landmark civil rights legislation

Discuss the civic responsibilities of students in a democratic society

Learn how to recognize and respond to civil rights violations within their schools and the military.

Cultivate conflict resolution skills and peer leadership habits

Civics isn’t about politics. It’s about people—and the power of one life to influence many. Let us help your school or organization plant seeds of courage, compassion, and civic responsibility.

“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin?

In small places, close to home... such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, and equal dignity.” — Eleanor Roosevelt

Mediation Advocacy

Conflict resolution goes far beyond the mediation of individual disputes. True resolution lies in restoring the dignity and rights of every person—a mission rooted in the principles of civil and human rights. This form of transformative engagement known as mediation advocacy is a powerful approach that involves negotiating not just between parties, but on behalf of communities whose rights have been denied or overlooked. It’s about speaking truth with wisdom and tact with the goal of creating sustainable solutions.

TAC proudly partners with local, national, and global organizations that are working to address civil and human rights protections. We advocate alongside these nonprofits locally and before state, federal, and international leaders, amplifying their voices and championing their causes. Our role is not just to mediate, but to encourage and equip marginalized or overlooked communities and the systems that govern them.

Through mediation advocacy, we aim to bring resolution where systems have failed, rights have been violated, and voices have gone unheard. You, too, can be part of this global movement. You, too, can help bring justice and resolution to those in need. Whether through prayer, financial support, or sharing our mission, your involvement helps bring justice and reconciliation. Through these partnerships, we intend to create meaningful and lasting change.
