The Advocacy Center, Inc. (“TAC”) is an all-woman managed and led nonprofit founded in honor of Petty Officer First Class Gene Shearer. TAC offers alternative approaches to conflict and social injustice through community-based programs that promote the restoration of peace and the protection of human and civil rights. TAC's initiatives focus in the areas of conflict resolution and first, second and third generational human rights, specifically advocating against the violence against women and children, and the international rights of a child. 

We are one of the first non-attorney agency service centers accredited by the Department of Justice to offer an alternative approach to equal access justice through non-attorney agency services that include conflict resolution and immigration.
